A Scholarship Program for Engineering and Medical Students
 

The History of the Foundation
The Orazio DiMauro Foundation located in Fairfield, Connecticut is now accepting applications for scholarships for students studying engineering or medicine.  The terms of the Foundation, as amended by the Directors now require that all scholarship recipients be residents of Bridgeport and the surrounding towns:  Fairfield, Trumbull, Easton, Monroe, Milford and Stratford, and the Valley towns of Ansonia, Derby Seymour and Shelton.

 
  Applications for the DiMauro scholarships can be secured from the Orazio DiMauro Foundation web site (Orazio DiMauro Foundations.org, or 101 Oakview Dr, Unit 215, Trumbull, CT 06611 or email danianelo@aol.com. The deadline for all applications is June 1st, and the deadline for supporting materials is June 1st.  Announcements and notification of scholarship awards will be made in August.

Eligibility Requirements    
For an engineering scholarship you must be: For a medical scholarship you must be:  
resident of Bridgeport or the surrounding towns   A resident of Bridgeport or the surrounding towns.  
A graduating high school senior or a full-time student with an engineering major at an accredited four year college.   A graduating senior in an accredited four year college planning to attend an accredited medical college that awards the M.D. degree.  
Maintaining a high school class rank in the top 50% of your class or as a college student a quality point average of 3.0 (B average).   or As a Medical School Student Maintaining a quality point average of 3.2 or greater.  
Planning to attend an accredited four year college with an engineering curriculum for a baccalaureate degree.   Financially in need of scholarship assistance.
